The country has a biodiverse flora and fauna reflecting this range of habitats and is known for its primates, including gorillas and chimpanzees. There are ten national parks and thirteen wildlife reserves; some 345 species of mammal and 1020 species of bird have been recorded in the country.

Days

Day 01

Arrive at Entebbe and transfer to hotel Entebbe / Kampala

An agent from Barefoot Adventures Uganda will meet you and drive you to your accommodation for the night either in Entebbe or Kampala City. Barefoot Adventures Uganda’s guide will take you on a city tour … depending on your arrival time for an intoxicating encounter of Kampala the Capital City of Uganda. You can take the tour on foot (recommended) or by car. Kampala features historical sites you must visit. There is the African Craft Village, the Kings Palace, the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine Monument, Local Markets, Religious Sites, Bahi Temple, Local Street Food and the friendly Ugandans.

Later you will have dinner and overnight stay at your respective hotel.

Day 02

Barefoot guide will pick you up and transfer to Murchison Fall

From your hotel, onwards to Murchison Falls National Park, only to stop at the Rhino Sanctuary. Mingle with Rhinos for a few minutes. You will lunch after the Rhino trek, you will continue to your hotel for dinner and overnight at the famous Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 03

Prepare for an encounter game drive and cruise the river Nile

Early in the morning after a cup of coffee or tea you will visit the game on a drive to view the morning catch by the banks of the river Nile. You will spot safari game such as lions, hyenas, birds, elephants and much more. Do bring your best camera for a fantastic shoot to document the busy day.

You will return to the lodge after the safari excursion for lunch.

A two hour cruise to the Victoria Nile, and to the bottom of the Falls itself is next. Be on the lookout to witness crocodiles, hippos, elephants and an unheard amount of birds and their cries. Through the grasslands many more animals including some of the big 5 will be in view. The likes of  Uganda Kobs, Jackson Hartebeest, buffalo, giraffe and game that’s rare to find anywhere in the world. Now it’s time for the hike to the top of the falls, where a huge amount of water is gushed through a 7 meter opening forming the falls that you have been longing to witness. Certainly one of the highlights of this exhilarating site. 

After a great day of excitement head back to the lodge and enjoy the conversation about this fantastic day as you go over the highlights.

Day 04

Kibale National Park

You will arrive at Kibale NationalPark in the evening only to stop for lunch. The Park is full of chimpanzees and a great Park to look forward to for its topography.

Day 05

The famous Queen Elizabeth National Park and its chimpanzees

A great day is ahead of you. After a briefing on trekking chimpanzees. During your walk a guide will provide you with information, and educate you about the chimpanzees and their magnificent surroundings. You will spend time with the chimpanzees, and observe their calls and eating habits. Watching them feed and sharing, after or during a hunt when experienced can be the pinnacle of this walking safari. After the safari, you will lunch and off to Queen Elizabeth  National Park. You will arrive late evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06

Kazinga Channel Safari and Cruize

After coffee/tea is always a good time to go for a game drive and watch the animals, scurrying towards their hideouts after a night of hunting. During the game drive you will experience an array of wildlife and enjoy the beauty of the area. It is common to find leopards, lions, and elephants. Uganda Kob, birds and much more during this safari. Giant forest Hogs, warthogs, hyenas and more are within the area to be experienced in the wild. 

After the safari breakfast will be served and time to prepare for the transfer for your Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel then after lunch, we move onto Lake Edward and Lake George that connect to the Kazinga channel, here you will find hippos elephants and buffaloes in plenty by the shores. Great also for bird lovers. 

Then back to the lodge for dinner and your comfortable overnight stay,

Day 07

Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi impenetrable National Park

Breakfast will be served. You will then move through Ishasha Sector of  Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of two places where  you can find tree climbing lions in the world.

Then, onto Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy lunch and the beauty of the magnificent true jungle. Arrive at the lodge in time for dinner and rest.

Day 08

Gorilla Tracking and finally Lake Bunyonyi Island

After breakfast and a packed lunch there will be a briefing at the park headquarters. 8:00 AM you will be off in search of the Gorillas. Be prepared for a long trek in case the gorillas have wandered off. Although, it is possible to be amongst them within the first two hours. The trek can be tiresome so bring plenty of water just in case it takes longer than expected. Should time permit you can also visit the pygmy tribe via a boat or canoe ride. Transfer to lake Bunyonyi where dinner and a good rest will be overdue, perhaps with a nightcap.

Day 09

Bunyonyi Island to Kampala / Entebbe

After Breakfast enjoy a ride back through Mbarara and Masaka where you will again enjoy lunch at the Equator. A great time to buy gifts for your loved ones and yourselves to enjoy the memories of Uganda. 

Arrive at your respective hotel either in Kampa or Entebbe airport for your next adventure.
